Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing - Reading Schedule

Hey everyone, here's the reading schedule for Chapter Chat 4! (Term 3, Weeks 7-9) The book we are going to read is 'Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing' by Judy Blume.

Week 1,  5-9th September, Chapters 1-4

Week 2,  12-16th September, Chapters 5-7

Week 3, 19-23th September, Chapters 8-10

It works out at about 3-4 chapters a week. The chapters are not very long and I envisage it will take about 5-10 minutes a day to get through them.

Chapter Chat 4

Hey everyone, Chapter Chat 4 is going to kick off in Term 3 running from Weeks 7-9. I thought I'd announce the book early so everyone would have more time to source the book.

Now the big question is what book are we going to read?

Well after lots of reading I have decided to choose 'Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing' by Judy Blume!

The book was first published in 1972 and is the first in 'The Fudge' series. The story focuses on a nine-year-old boy named Peter Warren Hatcher and his relationship with his two-year-old brother Farley Drexel "Fudge" Hatcher.

It's a funny little book that will fit perfectly into the 3 week time frame. It is easy to read and is perfect for Y3/4's!

Exciting times ahead!

Answering Questions During Chapter Chat

Check out this fantastic poster that Brenda from Russell Street School (@RSSbrainbusters) made to help her kids answer questions during Chapter Chat!

To get the best learning out of Chapter Chat it's important that we write quality tweets. This poster outlines what's important and provides an excellent example.

Thanks Brenda! I will definitely be sharing this with my class this week!
